A második helyen végzett a frissen megjelent The Godfather II, az óriási reklámhadjárat ellenére sem sikerült az élen debütálnia, pedig az Electronic Arts látszólag mindent megtett ennek érdekében. Az amerikai megjelenés tiszteletére saját gamespace-t is kapott a PlayStation Home-ban, amely elviekben az európai rendszerben is feltűnik majd hamarosan.

Bár már úton van Mario és Sonic második közös olimpiája, az első sem futotta ki magából az erejét, visszakúszott a harmadik helyre a Sega és a Nintendo közös sportjátéka, így a vezető trió két tagja is Nintendo Wii-re kihozott alkotás. A Resident Evil 5 ezúttal a negyedik lett a sorban, lecsúszva a bronzéremről, mögötte pedig az új erőre kapott FIFA 09 futott be a célba. A Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars lufija egész egyszerűen kipukkadt, nem mintha a debütjekor keményre fújták volna azt.
